Mary is a firm believer that everyone she comes across has a story to tell. She has a knack for building relationships and finding just the right words to creatively tell stories about people and their businesses.

She spent most of her career in print news, working as the editor of her family’s weekly newspaper in South Kansas City. Prior to Crux, Mary worked as a reporter and special sections editor at the Kansas City Business Journal, where she honed her business writing skills and made connections with some of Kansas City’s most prominent decision makers. She brings with her a creative spirit, a can-do attitude and a social personality to team Crux.

An avid reader and lover of all things purple, Mary enjoys spending time outside of work with her family. She can most often be found at any of Kansas City’s Mexican restaurants, sipping on a strawberry margarita and indulging in all the chips and salsa.
