Senior Content Manager

Our fast-growing, ever-changing team is looking for a detail-oriented storyteller who’s obsessed with grammar and the written word to join our content team. The right person for the role has an impeccable grasp of the English language and AP Style, is organized and efficient, possesses outstanding verbal skills and meticulous attention to detail.

You’re a self-starter who is comfortable writing for a variety of B2B and B2C brands and understands how to impact business results through strategic marketing. As a senior content writer, you’ll work across the business, supporting various accounts with press releases and long-form writing, from website content and blogs to case studies and white papers. As a member of the Crux team, you’ll be expected to uphold our TEAM CRUX values and collaborate with account teams to execute on client deliverables. You’ll create captivating copy that connects with our clients’ audience, bringing their brand to life and telling their brand story in a powerful way.

  • Interviews subject matter experts and researches additional information to write in-depth blogs, case studies, white papers, press releases, website copy, and more for a variety of clients across multiple industries
  • Write clear, consistent marketing content on companies, products, promotions and services to fuel the customer journey across email, e-commerce and other digital platforms
  • Proofread and edit content for spelling, grammar, accuracy and syntax
  • Follow editorial calendars, collaborating with members of the account, digital and content teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Utilize industry best practices and market research to inspire ideas and content across the Crux client base
  • Implement search engine optimization (SEO) content strategies in long-form writing to maximize the visibility of digital content in search results
  • Plan, develop and implement content strategies alongside Director of PR & Communications and larger content team
  • Sets, meets and/or exceeds realistic deadlines
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple clients and/or projects at once, partnering with content team as necessary
  • Communicates clearly and in a timely manner, responding to client and/or internal team emails and calls the same day
  • Consistently tracks time in FunctionPoint


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or journalism
  • 7+ years of writing experience in PR, marketing, news writing, or related field with a track record of success
  • Superior interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues and management a must
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Exceptional skill in writing, copyediting and proofreading
  • Web, e-commerce copywriting experience preferred
  • Ability to manage up and effectively read a room
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects to completion by possessing a sense of urgency and use of best practices in meeting project deadlines
  • Highly skilled in research practices and instinctively know where to access information online
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
