Sales Director

  • Expert in Crux offerings, demonstrating our services to prospects based on their needs
  • Building and maintaining a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads to develop and nurture
  • Communicate with prospects to identify and recommend solutions to meet thier needs
  • Schedule and lead prospect pitch meetings as well as manage all appropriate follow-up and close tactics
  • Develop proposals, marketing service agreements (MSAs) and statement of work documents (SOWs) as part of the sales close process in partnership with internal operations team
  • Consult with specialist teams and operations to determine appropriate fees and expenses when engagements fall outside of productized services
  • Close/land new clients in the form of retainer and project, increasing revenue growth at an established rate determined in collaboration with CEO
  • Working with the SVP, Marketing Operations and appropriate members of the Marketing Team to transition the prospect to the assigned client team utilizing our hand-off process
  • Ensure prospect satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management
  • Maintain detailed reports of all sales activities including outreach, meeting, proposals, contracts, close rates, and any client or vendor feedback as necessary.
  • Communicate pipeline activity to CEO and Director of Operations
  • Providing annual, quarterly and monthly sales forecasts

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or journalism
  • Seven to 7+ years of professional service sales experience. Ad/marketing agency experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • A self-starter with strong professional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage up and effectively read a room
  • Proven ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
