​Herman’s marketing pathway has been non-traditional. Over the past 15+ years, his experience ranges from contextualizing data for insights & analytics, qualitative and quantitative research; to building marketing, branding, social media & go-to-market strategies for clients as small as mom-and-pop shops to Fortune 500 companies.

With a background that has come full circle, Herman began his career in retail management in New Orleans where he spent nearly a decade. Upon returning to Kansas City, he spent the next five years leading sales teams, building engaging sales copy and developing email campaigns. After years in sales, he moved into marketing, beginning with managing a $2M book of PPC spend for companies like Dairy Queen, Creative Blinds, American Manufacturing, and others. He then shifted into strategy,  his true calling, where he developed marketing strategies for organizations of all shapes and sizes, from startups and SMB’s, to nonprofits, schools, and everything in between.

One differentiator of note is Herman’s early adaptation of integrating elements of behavioral economic theory into strategy & messaging. This skill has made an indelible impact for clients throughout his career and continues to be a part of his lifelong learning process.

Outside of work, you can find Herman reading, fishing, cooking, watching the Chiefs and LSU football (Go Tigers!), or spending time with his wife and two kids.
