Charlie Hustle’s Chase McAnulty recently sat down with Leslie Collins of the Kansas City Business Journal to share more on his company’s growth and its recent alignment with Crux KC. The following originally appeared in the Kansas City Business Journal:
For Kansas City-based Charlie Hustle, hiring its first marketing agency of record means more growth.
“We needed more bandwidth to attack all the opportunities coming our way,” Charlie Hustle founder and CEO Chase McAnulty said. “We’re growing out much more regionally and nationally, so that’s a challenge in itself. We’ve been pretty hyperlocal for the first 10 years of our business, but over the last couple of years, we’ve focused on an eight- to 10-state region. We’ve planted a lot of seeds and those areas are growing. … We’re not just seeing 80% of our business being Kansas and Missouri like it used to be. It’s much more diversified.”
And the apparel brand known for its “KC heart” design needed an agency that could help it market itself compellingly outside the “Kansas City bubble” and resonate on a national level. It hired Kansas City-based Crux KC for the role.
