Controller
Our fast-growing, ever changing “un-agency” is looking for a full-time Controller. The Controller will plan and direct the accounting function of the company while ensuring achievement of the company’s financial goals. They will identify the essential structure of the accounting function and assess its efficiency as the company grows, meeting increased demand without sacrificing profitability.
You’ll work with members of the Crux team to uphold our TEAM CRUX values. You should be knowledgeable in all accounting/finance functions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing the organizations daily accounting functions.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Accounts Receivables:
- Create and sends all client invoices.
- Respond to all questions around invoices.
- Follow up on all Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payables:
- Enters all Accounts Payable and tracks cash flow and payments.
- Implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Responsible for creating and issuing Purchase Orders
- Collaborating with Traffic Management/Operations on Freelance budget and allocation
Monthly Process:
- Create month end close process and prepare internal and external monthly financial statements.
- Works with CPA to ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
Annual Process:
- Develop and monitor financial metrics/benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations (including MSA/SOW completion).
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required
- 7+ years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of all aspects of GAAP
- Superior project management skills
- Resourceful and analytical with exceptional communication skills
- Understanding of analytics and performance metrics
- MBA or professional certification such as the CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing start-up work environment.
